Where Can You Go Without a Passport?

Effective January 1 2008 the US Government imposed a new passport requirement for any travel outside of the Continental USA. However there are a few destinations where you can go for some sun and fun and only have to have a State issued paper birth certificate with a raised seal along with a Government photo ID-drivers license.

  • St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix, US Virgin Islands
  • Puerto Rico
  • Guam

Any other destination outside of the Continental USA requires a Valid Passport. Some countries require that your passport be valid for 6 months AFTER you return from your trip. So you can get to sun, sand and palm tree without a passport if you plan a vacation to one of the 3 listed above. All destinations offers history, culture, beaches, warm weather and turquoise seas. Should you be interested in planning a vacation, please contact me.
